Short time line:

• 1997 Original draft by a local ISP (sci.fi)
• 2000 Rewritten by Axu TM Oy
• 2001 eTampere launched and TREX refocused
• 2002 TREX Tampere Region Exchange Oy (ltd) registered
• 2003 First switch installed and operations commenced
• 2009 First Workshop held and second switch installed
• 2010 Entered 10 Gigabit age with the third switch
• 2012 Launched reseller programs
