Primary Service: Public IPv6 Multicast Peering
This is a retired service due to lack of demand
This service is for operators that wish to peer multicast traffic publicly with every other operator subscribing to this service. Actual peering is done using MBGP and IPv6 PIM.
It is not necessary to set up BGP sessions with other members connected to this VLAN. It is enough to set up a session with the TREX IPv6 Multicast Route Server. Direct sessions between members are still recommended for redundancy.
The VLAN can be requested in native form without any encapsulation in a port, or encapsulated with IEEE802.1q.
